Oria Condominiums
A prime living environment
Oria Condominiums is located at the heart of Solar Uniquartier, a TOD (Transit Oriented Development) neighborhood under development in Brossard. The project includes, among other things, restaurants and local shops, a campus of the University of Montreal, as well as a direct connection to the REM via the Du Quartier station. Located in the residential sector of the development, four large buildings intended for the rental and sales markets were developed and articulated around a fully landscaped inner courtyard, connected to the place de l’Équinoxe by a pedestrian path.
LemayMichaud signed Phase 1 of the project, which consists of 158 units spread across condominiums with 1 to 3 bedrooms, townhouses, and high-end penthouses. The building also includes amenities such as a swimming pool, a gym, a spa, and a skylounge.
A ‘Graphic’ Architecture
The architectural concept of Phase 1 is intended to be clean, contemporary, and timeless for better integration into this new urban environment. The highly graphic concept features a triptych articulation of facades, consisting of three successive geometries that communicate with each other through the repetition of symmetrical details. To enhance this interplay of forms, the designers chose to incorporate a variety of materials to bring more movement.
The design features three materials: dark gray brick on the first floor, white fibrocement panels in front of the balconies, enhanced by the presence of anthracite aluminum panels in the background, which continue right up to the building's roof. The effect is dynamic and harmonious, presenting a well-balanced architectural ensemble to walkers in the park.
LemayMichaud's mandate involved the construction of a 13-story residential building, and the construction of three levels of underground parking, connected to the common parking facility for all buildings.
