August Condominiums
The August Condominiums project consisted in a site development study (block 14), part of a 74-hectare neighbourhood development in Calgary’s northwest University District.
The final project was for the construction of a mixed-use complex comprising a 155-room Alt Hotel and 130 condominium units, with a commercial podium and an underground parking shared with the hotel.
The August condominiums building totals 6-storeys and offers commercial space at street level. Construction for the 14-storey hotel was stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic and was finally completed for an opening in June 2023.
LemayMichaud developed the concept and the preliminary drawings (up to site plan approval) for the condos, and was also responsible for the design, construction drawings and site supervision for the hotel.
